Just when we were beginning to wonder if Aviation 72 was a serious contender in the diecast aviation space comes word that a photo of their latest entry has now been posted. Originally expected some time in 2013, it now appears as if their RAF Scottish Aviation Bulldog 120/121 Trainer Aircraft may make it in time for the holidays (AV7225001). Two of their other replicas have already arrived, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that this one will join their brethren on the store shelves.

Earlier today we were able to post all of the new January releases planned by Hobby Master. Among the notable new offerings is this 1:48 scale replica of “Big Beautiful Doll”, perhaps one of the most iconic replicas to arise from the WWII conflict in Europe. piloted by John Landers, he is credited with downing 12-1/2 aircraft, making him one of the most feared aces on the USAAF roster.

Since many of you have placed pre-orders with us cutting across many of these companies, we have to wait until all of the new products arrive before processing these items for shipment. Dragon Introduces a New Line of Premium Vehicles

Looking to stay on top of the 1:72 heap, Dragon today showed off a new line of military vehicles they are calling Ultimate Armor. According to their web site:

“Ultimate Armor series is a new line-up of Dragon Armor, featuring unusual and rare vehicle types such as the first one Flakpanzer V “Coelian” presented here. Those unique items will cater to the demands of discerning collectors. Many such rare fighting-vehicles will come up.”

The first vehicle in the line is a Flakpanzer V “Coelian” (DRR60590) which never saw service but nevertheless was intended to augment Germany’s armored forces as a means of warding off low-flying enemy aircraft. Dragon is indicating a November ship for this intriguing item, which will carry a retail price of $39.99.
