Hobby Master Doubles Down for the Holidays
In less than a week, we’ve now received our November as well as December shipments of Hobby Master products, due, in large part, to the delay affecting the November shipment. Lots of new armor and military aircraft are now in stock that are sure to pique everyone’s interest, including this fascinating 1:48 scale replica of Lt. Cdr. Roger Hedrick’s F4U-1D Corsair (#HA8206).
Also in the mix are the long awaited Panzerstahl limited edition range, which are sure to look great under the Christmas tree, hanging in a stocking. or simply sitting in a display cabinet. Enjoy!
Auld Lang Simoncelli?
Minichamps North America has confirmed that they will be receiving the highly coveted 2011 Marco Simoncelli MotoGP bike on the last week of 2012, with a shipment expected to hit our dock the first week of January (#MIN122111158). Again, we are pre-sold out of this tribute bike, so if you were lucky enough to get in on the ground floor by pre-ordering early, then 2013 is going to be a very good year indeed.
When One Falls, Another Rises
With the discontinuation of the X-Plus Heavy Metal Collection of diecast military aircraft, comes news that a new model maker is poised to take their place. According to reports surfacing around the web, Air Commander Heavy Metal Collection has sprung up to fill the void, and will likely pick up where its predecessor left off. We hear that a 1:72 scale F-4 Phantom is in the works, which comes as no surprise since the designer of the X-Plus F-4 Phantoms is behind the Air Commander version.
We hope to have more concrete information concerning this new development in the week ahead and will post the information just as soon as it becomes move evident.
Forces of Valor Rushes Reinformcements to the Retail Front
In keeping with their month;y released schedule, Unimax has announced a pair of repainted diecast military vehicles for the February time slot. Expected is a second take on their 1:32 scale King Tiger Ausf. A heavy tank (#UNI80077H) and their fifth look at the Sd. Kfz. 251/1 Ausf. D half-track (#UNI81019H).
Also expected is a reintroduction of their 1:72 scale Landing Craft Mechanized (LCM) and, no doubt, several items that have been previously announced but delayed for whatever reason.
Corgi's Latest Angle of Attack
Its been awhile since we feasted on a steady diet of new Corgi aircraft but the Company seems poised to stand and deliver this winter/spring with several appetizing offerings on the menu. Among them is this 1:72 scale German Messerschmitt Bf 109G6 Fighter – Erich Hartmann, Kommandeur I/Jagdgeschwader 53, Hungary, 1945 (AA27101), an all-new 1:32 scale De Havilland Mosquito, and follow-ups to their 1:72 scale Avro Lancaster and Short Stirling heavy bombers. Reserve your table early for the Corgi buffet.

Signature Models Slides Into the Driver's Seat
Originally produced in midnight black and off white, Signature Models is finally getting set to release their 1938 Daimler-Benz Gelandewagen Typ 4 (G4) Limousine in a grey matte finish. Produced in 1:18 scale and bundled with three Wehrmacht soldiers, the dull grey scheme is certainly the most heavily requested version of the three parade limousines largely because it was the one most commonly associated with the Nazi leadership in the run-up to World War II. All three versions are expected to return to stock some time in January, and will likely get scooped up the moment we announce their receipt.

Dragon Steps it Up for 2013
They say “all good things come to those that wait.” In the collectibles business, these words have never rung truer, as more and more new products seem to get pushed back indefinitely. One item seemingly on the back burner for eons is Dragon’s USAF Northrop XB-35 Experimental Heavy Bomber, first announced in January 2012 (DRW52013). Fast forward a year later, and lo and behold this coveted experimental warplane is finally headed to store shelves, gleaming in all of its metallic skin glory.
Interestingly enough, the Company is also reintroducing several long sold out 1:72 and 1:144 scale aircraft that many people have been asking for but couldn’t quite find in today’s market. We’ve opened them up again for resale, and expect them, along with the XB-35, some time in early January.
