Unimax Sails the Seven Seas this Fall

UNI86012

Building upon the success of their 1:700 scale warship series, Unimax announced the commissioning of their first modern era warship: USS Enterprise (CVN-65). The US Navy’s first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, Enterprise was embroiled in a number of post-WWII trouble spots, including the Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam, and the Gulf Conflicts (UNI86012). This particular version of CVN-65 will come with a complement of F-14 Fleet Defense Fighters and F/A-18 Hornet Strike Fighters.

Also shown for the first time was a 1:48 scale representation of the US Marine Corps’ AH-1W Super Cobra, perhaps the single-most important weapon in the USMC’s arsenal since the close of WWII (#UNI84007). Expect both the Enterprise and Super Cobra later this fall, just in time for the holiday shopping season.

An F-16 Flies Into FOV's Future

UNI85047

We’ve learned that Unimax will soon be offering a F-16 Viper as part of its ever growing 1:72 scale diecast military aircraft collection. Expected some time this summer, their first ever F-16 will be based upon a CJ version and will bear all the hallmark munitions associated with this single-engine workhorse (#UNI85047). This, of course, comes on the heels of their soon-to-be-released Boeing F-15E Strike Eagle, and will no doubt be followed by other important aircraft of the modern era.

Unimax ‘Flies Like an Eagle’

UNI85081

Pictures are finally circulating for Unimax upcoming 1:72 scale rendition of an F-15E Strike Eagle. Based upon a bird flown by the 391st Fighter Squadron, 366th Fighter Wing, out of Mountain Home AFB, Arkansas (#UNI85081), their first-ever Strike Eagle will come with a complete load out of air-to-ground and air-to-air weaponry, and boasts much the same hi-fidelity detail and features that has made its previous F/A-18s and F/A-14s hot amongst the diecast community. Painted in a dull grey low-vis camouflage scheme, look for the Strike Eagle to make a June sortie unless they’re called into action sooner.
